In public health, community health workers(CHW) are vital in helping people stay healthy and prevent diseases. When the New Mexico Department of Public Health noticed more people facing heart issues, they wanted to provide training to boost the knowledge of community health workers about heart health. This is the story of how I created ‘Cardiovascular Health Specialty Track Training,’ a 12-hour training project that bridges the gap, equipping CHWs to make a lasting impact on the heart health of their communities.
